Onyx Security Raises $113 Million to Expand AI Agent Safeguards

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-12 · Last active 2026-08-12

As companies deploy AI agents to query data, make decisions and operate software, the systems create a new security challenge: they can act at machine speed while exceeding permissions, leaking sensitive information or violating policy. Israel-founded Onyx Security has built a control platform that observes agents’ reasoning and actions in real time, giving enterprises threat analysis, safeguards and human oversight as autonomous tools move into critical workflows.

Onyx Security said on July 29, 2026, it raised $113 million in a Series B led by Bessemer Venture Partners, bringing total funding to $153 million two years after its founding. Cyberstarts, TCV, Conviction, FirstMark, Vintage, QuantumLight and G Squared also participated. The company plans to train its next generation of proprietary AI models and expand international sales and business development. Revenue has quadrupled since Onyx emerged from stealth four months earlier.
