Canary Launches First US Staked Tron ETF

2 reports · First detected 2026-09-09 · Last active 2026-09-09

Tron is a blockchain network whose low transaction costs and high throughput have made it a widely used rail for stablecoin payments and settlement. A staking ETF goes beyond tracking the price of its underlying token by incorporating rewards generated through the network’s proof-of-stake process into net asset value, giving brokerage investors access to TRX and staking income without directly holding or managing the cryptocurrency.

Canary Capital’s Canary Staked TRX ETF began trading on Cboe BZX on Sept. 9, 2026, under the ticker TRXS, becoming the first US-listed staking ETF tied to Tron. The fund expects to stake at least 90% of its TRX under normal conditions and retain 80% of the resulting rewards, which will be reflected in daily net asset value. TRX had a market capitalization of about $32.1 billion, ranking it as the eighth-largest cryptocurrency.
