Token2049 Says Dubai Summit Will Go Ahead in April, With Trump’s Son to Attend

Token2049 is a major global cryptocurrency industry summit. Its Dubai edition was originally scheduled for late April and expected to attract 15,000 attendees. The event brings together the trading, stablecoin and Web3 investment sectors, with speakers including Eric Trump, Tether’s CEO and Telegram’s founder. It is a key forum for tracking the Middle East crypto market and international capital flows.

Organizers initially said the event would proceed as scheduled in close coordination with the Dubai government, even as the U.S.-Iran war spilled into the emirate and damaged its airport. The latest reports, however, said Token2049 had been postponed until 2027 because of regional uncertainty, reversing earlier statements that it would go ahead in late April. F1 races and crypto sponsorship events scheduled for the same period were also affected by the conflict, forcing organizers to rework plans for the expected 15,000 attendees.
