Evlo Partners With CreditLadder to Strengthen Renters’ Credit Profiles

1 reports · First detected 2026-03-04 · Last active 2026-03-04

Some 20.2 million UK adults are underserved by financial services, about one-third cannot access mainstream credit, and another 5.6 million are “credit invisible” because they have limited credit histories. Mortgage payments typically help borrowers build credit, but rent is not consistently reported. As a result, tenants may struggle to demonstrate their creditworthiness even when they pay on time.

Evlo announced a partnership with UK rent-reporting platform CreditLadder on February 18, 2026. It will direct renters with limited credit data to submit their monthly rental payment records to the major credit reference agencies. Financial terms were not disclosed. The partnership follows Evlo’s October 2025 proposal to the UK Treasury calling for positive rental payment data to be incorporated into credit assessments.
