Monday.com and Airbnb Quantify AI Returns

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-11 · Last active 2026-08-11

Investors have spent years hearing that generative AI would lift productivity, but adoption figures and pilot projects offered little proof that spending was reaching the income statement. The latest disclosures from work-management software maker monday.com and home-rental platform Airbnb matter because they connect AI directly to recurring revenue, lower operating costs and faster product development — the measures companies ultimately need to justify sustained investment.

On Aug. 10, 2026, monday.com reported second-quarter revenue of $364.6 million and said revenue from AI products doubled from the previous quarter. Those offerings generated 17% of net new annual recurring revenue, up from 10% in the first quarter. Airbnb, reporting on Aug. 6, posted $3.608 billion in second-quarter revenue. Its AI assistant resolved 45% of support cases without human intervention and cut customer-service cost per booking by 16% year on year, while AI tools also helped accelerate product releases.
