Winbond NOR Flash Reportedly Enters Nvidia AI Supply Chain

Taiwanese memory-chip maker Winbond Electronics specializes in products including NOR flash, which can be used for booting, firmware and system control in AI servers. As Nvidia advances its next-generation Vera Rubin platform, demand for higher-capacity NOR flash in servers and edge AI is rising, drawing market attention to the supply chain.

Recent market reports said Winbond has entered the supply chain for Nvidia’s next-generation Vera Rubin platform, which is expected to launch in the second half of 2026, and could secure about a 50% share of its NOR flash supply. The reports sent Winbond shares up more than 8% intraday. However, neither Winbond nor Nvidia has formally confirmed the supplier qualification or order volume.
