FinTech Funding Surges to $2.04 Billion in 27-Deal Week
FinTech funding is a barometer of investor appetite for technologies underpinning payments, wealth management, insurance and financial infrastructure. Weekly totals can swing sharply when large debt facilities or late-stage rounds close, making the deal mix as important as headline capital. FinTech Global’s latest tally points to sustained demand for cybersecurity and alternative-investment platforms, as investors back businesses addressing AI-era security risks and widening access to private markets.
FinTech Global said on July 31, 2026, that 27 deals raised $2.039 billion during the week, about 20% more than the prior week’s $1.7 billion across 12 rounds. A General Atlantic-led round lifted health-benefits company Gravie’s cumulative funding to $463 million, though the new investment’s size was not disclosed. Aperture Investors followed with a $300 million facility for Avant. CyberTech led activity with nine deals and WealthTech recorded eight, while US companies accounted for 20 rounds.
