Bitget Courts BlackRock to Expand Tokenized ETF Distribution in Asia
Tokenized exchange-traded funds bring ownership interests in conventional investment products onto blockchain infrastructure, potentially widening access beyond traditional brokerage channels. Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange with about 125 million users, could offer global asset managers a sizable distribution gateway into Asia. A partnership with firms such as BlackRock would also signal closer ties between established financial institutions and crypto platforms seeking to sell regulated, real-world investment products.
Bitget Chief Executive Gracy Chen said the exchange is in talks with Wall Street firms including BlackRock to help leading asset managers expand distribution of tokenized ETFs across Asia. The companies have not disclosed a signing date, transaction value, specific funds or timetable for launching any products, indicating that discussions remain preliminary. The key figure disclosed so far is Bitget’s roughly 125 million users, which the exchange is positioning as a potential regional customer base for institutional tokenized offerings.
