Mistral Launches Forge to Help Companies Train AI Models and Agents on Proprietary Data

2 reports · First detected 2026-03-18 · Last active 2026-03-18

Most general-purpose large language models are trained on public data and struggle to grasp companies’ internal engineering standards, compliance policies and workflows. French AI company Mistral AI has therefore launched Forge, which allows organizations to incorporate documents, code, structured data and computational logs into training. The system embeds domain knowledge and reasoning patterns into models while preserving data sovereignty.

Mistral AI released Forge on March 17, 2026. It supports pre-training, post-training and reinforcement learning and can be deployed in private clouds, on premises or in Mistral’s computing environment. Initial partners include ASML, Ericsson, the European Space Agency and Singapore’s DSO National Laboratories. The company has not disclosed pricing, contract values or model parameter counts.
