2 reports · First detected 2026-03-11 · Last active 2026-03-11

Generative AI is expanding beyond cloud data centers to end devices, making robotics, commercial drones and the smart Internet of Things new battlegrounds for chipmakers. MediaTek is targeting edge AI opportunities with its Genio platform, competing with AMD, Intel and others for demand for high-performance, low-power computing.

MediaTek has unveiled its latest IoT platform series, Genio Pro, Genio 420 and Genio 360, targeting robotics, commercial drones and edge AI applications. Genio Pro uses TSMC's 3-nanometer process, supports generative AI workloads and is expected to enter mass production in 2026.
