1 reports · First detected 2026-07-19 · Last active 2026-07-19

Amid the global artificial intelligence boom, a fictional AI-powered pizza delivery startup called Sliceline.ai became a social-media sensation. The company claimed it could use AI to monitor employee sentiment and automatically deliver pizza, prompting widespread discussion. The episode exposed the venture capital market’s indiscriminate enthusiasm for AI concepts and showed how creative viral marketing can readily overcome public skepticism.

A team led by founder Arthur Zargaryan released a video in July 2026 falsely claiming that Sliceline.ai had raised $6 million from the fictional venture capital firm Atomik.vc. The product launch video drew more than 700,000 views on X that day. The team later publicly acknowledged that it was a marketing experiment and disclosed its full network-driven viral marketing playbook.
