Xero Partners With Anthropic to Bring AI Agents to Accounting

Xero is a cloud-based small-business platform serving more than 4.5 million subscribers across more than 180 countries, while Anthropic is the developer of Claude. The partnership brings AI agents capable of reasoning and executing tasks into accounting, payroll and payment workflows, reducing manual work such as reconciliation, collections and cash-flow analysis.

Xero and Anthropic announced a multiyear partnership on March 27, 2026, without disclosing its value. Claude will enhance Xero’s JAX and allow users to query real-time revenue, profit and overdue-invoice data. Xero announced on May 12 that the integration had formally launched. Shared data is used only for the current session and is not used to train Claude.
