Broadridge Expands Tokenized Repo Platform to G7 Securities

2 reports · First detected 2026-09-02 · Last active 2026-09-04

Repurchase agreements are a cornerstone of short-term institutional funding, allowing firms to raise cash against high-quality securities. Cross-border transactions, however, can be slowed by fragmented settlement, reconciliation and collateral-management processes. Broadridge Financial Solutions’ Distributed Ledger Repo platform, or DLR, synchronizes transfers of tokenized securities and cash through atomic settlement, aiming to reduce settlement risk while improving intraday liquidity, funding flexibility and capital efficiency.

Broadridge said on Sept. 2, 2026, that DLR had expanded beyond tokenized U.S. Treasury collateral to include G7 securities, enabling repo and collateral movements across markets, currencies and jurisdictions. The company said the platform processed an average of $351 billion in repo transactions each day in August 2026, totaling $7.4 trillion for the month, with thousands of transactions completed daily. Aggregated DLR activity is also available to Bloomberg Terminal subscribers through Broadridge’s collaboration with Kaiko.
