Qatar Helium Supply Disruption Prompts Samsung and SK Hynix to Urgently Review Chip Inventories

With tensions in the Middle East recently escalating, Qatar's helium exports are at risk of disruption. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have activated emergency response measures and are assessing their inventories and how long those supplies can sustain operations. Both companies are also evaluating alternative supplies from markets including the United States and increasing helium recovery rates at their plants to reduce the risk of production halts and further delays in memory-chip deliveries.
