Ethereum Foundation Executive Director Hsiao-Wei Wang Steps Down

The Ethereum Foundation is a leading nonprofit organization supporting research and development across the Ethereum ecosystem. Taiwan-born Hsiao-Wei Wang spent about a decade at the foundation, contributing extensively to consensus research and helping develop the Taipei community. Her departure has renewed scrutiny of the foundation’s leadership stability and governance arrangements.

Wang announced on June 18 that she was stepping down as co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, saying she would rethink the direction of her life. She did not disclose her next plans. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin later thanked her, praising her steadfast contributions over the past decade to research, consensus work and the Taipei community.
