Dyson Launches $499 CameraJet AI Toothbrush
Dyson, best known for premium vacuum cleaners and hair-care devices, is entering oral care with CameraJet, a connected electric toothbrush combining imaging, artificial intelligence and precision fluid delivery. A camera embedded in the brush head identifies gaps between teeth as users brush, while an AI algorithm directs jets of mouthwash at those areas, aiming to combine brushing and interdental cleaning in one device.
The company brought CameraJet to market after six years of development, pricing it at $499 and NT$16,990 in Taiwan. Dyson says the camera-guided system automatically detects areas requiring additional attention and uses targeted mouthwash jets to clean between teeth. The company claims the device can remove as much as 69% more plaque, positioning the launch as a premium alternative to conventional electric toothbrushes and separate flossing tools.
