Roborock Taps Taiwan to Test New AI Cleaning Products
Roborock, a smart-cleaning brand best known for robotic vacuum cleaners, is making Taiwan a more important part of its global product strategy. The market offers varied consumer needs and dense residential settings that can help the company test navigation, sensing and user experience in real-world conditions. Those capabilities are increasingly important as cleaning-device makers compete on AI-powered environmental understanding, obstacle avoidance and automation rather than hardware specifications alone.
Roborock said it will use Taiwan as a key market for global technology validation and decisions on new-product development, while continuing to expand research and development investment. The company plans to deepen its work in AI environmental understanding, sensing, navigation and obstacle avoidance, and integrate the software more closely with electromechanical systems. It did not disclose an investment amount or launch dates, but said future products would extend beyond indoor devices into a broader range of indoor and outdoor smart-cleaning applications.
