Juspay Puts Open Source at Center of Global Payments Push
India-based financial infrastructure company Juspay is using open-source technology as a foundation for its expansion beyond its home market. The strategy addresses a central challenge in digital payments: stopping fraudulent transactions without adding so many checks that legitimate customers abandon purchases. Striking that balance can affect authorization rates, merchant adoption and the competitiveness of payment providers in international markets.
Juspay executive Sheetal Lalwani said the payments business hinges on balancing fraud prevention with friction in the customer experience. The company plans to apply that approach as it strengthens its infrastructure and pursues global growth. The report did not disclose an investment amount, name target overseas markets or provide a launch date, leaving the initiative framed as a strategic expansion rather than a time-bound rollout.
