Trend Micro Unveils AI Security and Agent Governance Roadmap

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-11 · Last active 2026-08-11

As companies accelerate adoption of generative AI and autonomous agents, cybersecurity oversight is expanding beyond models and data to include AI assets, identities, permissions and machine-led actions. Trend Micro used the Black Hat conference to showcase its TrendAI security strategy, focused on improving visibility across corporate AI environments and containing risks from unsanctioned tools and increasingly independent agent systems.

Trend Micro detailed progress on its AI Security Blueprint and Agentic Governance Gateway. The blueprint is designed to give enterprises centralized oversight of AI assets, identities and access rights, while the gateway adds security controls tailored to autonomous AI agents. The company said the two offerings are scheduled to roll out progressively in 2026, extending its enterprise defenses as agentic AI moves into production.
