Neon Raises $13 Million to Expand Gaming Commerce Infrastructure
Founded in 2022, Neon provides direct-to-consumer commerce infrastructure for game publishers, spanning web stores, digital payments, identity, fraud prevention, tax and compliance. The company is targeting a market reshaped by regulatory action and court challenges that have loosened Apple and Google’s grip on app-store transactions. Direct commerce can help publishers retain more revenue and gain control of player data and customer relationships, turning DTC from a fee-saving channel into a core operating capability.
Neon announced a $13 million Series A round on July 22, 2026, with KRAFTON joining as an investor and strategic partner alongside a16z and Renegade Partners. The financing brought total capital raised since inception to $27 million. Neon said revenue rose more than 200% year on year in the first half of 2026, while gross merchandise value increased more than tenfold over two years. It plans to invest in loyalty systems, additional payment integrations and expansion into new markets.
