Sovereign Wealth Funds Keep Accumulating Spot Bitcoin on Price Pullback
Bitcoin price pullbacks typically coincide with cooling retail trading but can also offer long-term investors an opportunity to build positions. MidChains CEO Basil Al Askari said sovereign wealth funds’ direct accumulation of spot bitcoin shows that national investment institutions continue to view the cryptocurrency as an asset with long-term portfolio value.
Al Askari recently disclosed that at least one or two sovereign wealth funds are buying spot bitcoin at lower prices. Reports did not identify the funds or disclose the amounts invested, their holdings or the exact transaction dates. The activity nevertheless indicates that large institutions continue to accumulate on dips even as retail participation slows.
