White House Launches Gold Eagle AI Cybersecurity Clearinghouse

Gold Eagle is a voluntary White House cybersecurity clearinghouse designed to use frontier AI to identify, validate and prioritize software vulnerabilities, then distribute actionable remediation information. The initiative seeks to reduce duplicate scanning and coordinate responses among federal agencies, open-source software partners and critical-infrastructure operators. Its significance extends to banks, FinTechs and payments companies, whose exposure increasingly depends on cloud providers, software vendors and other third parties across complex technology supply chains.

The White House announced Gold Eagle on July 14, 2026, implementing a directive in President Donald Trump’s June 2 Executive Order 14409 on advanced AI innovation and security. The effort brings together the Treasury, Homeland Security and Defense departments with private-sector and open-source partners. Officials said the program has begun receiving and prioritizing vulnerability reports across industries, coordinating scanning verification and supporting patch deployment. Participation is voluntary, and the administration has not disclosed a budget or detailed information-sharing and data-protection protocols.
