Infoblox to Acquire Kentik, Uniting DNS and Network Observability
Infoblox provides DNS, DHCP and IP address management, giving enterprises authoritative context on network identities and assets. Kentik’s observability platform analyzes flow data, routing intelligence and device telemetry across data centers, clouds, wide-area networks and the public internet. Combining those capabilities would link the identity of infrastructure with a real-time view of how traffic moves, creating a richer data layer for AI-assisted operations, troubleshooting and security analysis.
Infoblox said on July 8, 2026, that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Kentik. Financial terms were not disclosed, and completion remains subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. The planned combination will pair Infoblox’s authoritative DNS and asset data with Kentik’s live traffic and path intelligence. Infoblox said the resulting, continuously updated network context could also feed customers’ existing AI tools, helping teams investigate outages, performance problems and security incidents faster.
