Gen Z Founders Turn to AI as Decision-Making Emerges as Key Bottleneck
Taiwan AI startup Zeabur says Gen Z entrepreneurs often have no shortage of ideas, but struggle to choose a direction, commit to decisions and gain exposure for their products. The challenge matters as generative AI lowers the cost of building and operating young companies, shifting the competitive edge away from team size and toward execution, rapid testing and the ability to turn market feedback into product decisions.
Zeabur recently convened a gathering of Gen Z founders to examine those bottlenecks. Its observations highlighted the growing popularity of a “1.5-person startup” model, in which one founder works alongside AI assistants to accelerate development, operations and product iteration. The approach underscores a preference for small, fast-moving teams, though the related report did not specify the event date, attendance, funding amounts or other financial figures.
