Marvell CFO’s $60 Million Share Sale Near Record High Draws Scrutiny
Marvell Technology is accelerating its shift from networking chips into custom silicon and high-speed interconnects for AI data centers. Public backing from NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has helped propel its shares sharply higher. Investors are therefore viewing the CFO’s large sale near the stock’s highs as an important signal of management confidence, valuation pressure and the durability of the AI chip rally.
Marvell CFO Willem Meintjes disclosed to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that he plans to sell 207,329 shares on Nasdaq on June 15, 2026, through Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Based on an average price of $290.03 per share, the sale could raise about $60.13 million and represents roughly 48% of his holdings. Because it is not being conducted under a prearranged trading plan, the transaction has raised concerns that he is taking profits at elevated prices.
