Commercial Times Trust Series Wins Ninth New Generation Financial Communications Award
As Taiwan becomes a super-aged society and fraud remains rampant, trust services have emerged as an important line of defense for the assets of older people and vulnerable groups. The New Generation Financial Foundation has long organized the New Generation Financial Communications Awards to encourage media coverage of financial inclusion policies. Promoting pre-arranged eldercare trusts and trusts for people with disabilities can strengthen the social safety net while highlighting the public value of trusts in an era of widespread fraud.
The New Generation Financial Foundation announced the winners of the ninth awards on July 15, 2026. With 39 entries of exceptionally high quality, the judging panel expanded the number of winners and ultimately selected seven works. Each winner received a certificate and NT$100,000. The Commercial Times earned the honor for its special report, “Polishing the Trust Genie’s Lamp: Safeguarding What Has Been Entrusted.”
