Cybersecurity Startup Artemis Raises $70 Million to Fight AI-Powered Attacks With AI
AI enables hackers to launch and adapt attacks within minutes, leaving traditional rules-based tools and manual investigation processes struggling to respond in time. Artemis was co-founded by former AWS product executive Shachar Hirshberg and former Twitter machine-learning head Dan Shiebler. Its AI learns an organization’s normal behavior to identify and block anomalous activity in real time.
Artemis emerged from stealth on April 15, 2026, and announced a combined $70 million in seed and Series A funding. Felicis led the Series A, while First Round Capital and Brightmind co-led the seed round. About six months after its founding, the platform was processing billions of events per hour and had reduced customers’ average time to detect and respond to critical security incidents by 94%.

As of July 20, 2026, Armadin had raised a combined $190 million across its seed and Series A rounds, setting a fundraising record for an early-stage cybersecurity company. The funds will be used to expand its platform and team and enhance its AI agents’ ability to simulate and validate automated attacks.
