中國信託銀行印度 GIFT City 分行正式開幕，深耕印度金融服務 30 載

India’s Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, or GIFT City, offers a financial cluster, infrastructure and tax incentives, and is emerging as a hub for Indian companies’ offshore fundraising and international syndicated lending. Mega International Commercial Bank already has a representative office in Mumbai. The planned branch would allow it to offer a broader range of financial services, capitalize on opportunities arising from Taiwanese supply-chain relocations and Indian government investment incentives, and strengthen its South Asian service network.

Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission on April 14, 2026, approved Mega Bank’s application to Indian regulators to establish a GIFT City branch, which remains subject to approval in India. No investment amount or opening date has been announced. As of the end of March 2026, Mega Bank operated one subsidiary, 24 branches, seven sub-branches and two representative offices across 18 countries. CTBC Bank already had three branches in India, while Bank of Taiwan and Mega Bank each had one representative office.
