Texas Instruments Sees Early Opportunities in Edge AI and Humanoid Robots

Texas Instruments (TI) says edge AI allows devices to process data locally in real time while maintaining low latency and power consumption, with potential applications ranging from humanoid robots to everyday devices. The robotics industry remains at an early stage, and precise hand control and brain-like processing capabilities are key technical hurdles to practical deployment.

As of July 20, 2026, TI Senior Vice President Amichai Ron said edge AI development was only just beginning and that the company would support more end-device applications with low-power chips and sensing technologies.
