AWS Launches Claude Platform on AWS, Giving Enterprises Access to Anthropic's Native Services
AWS and Anthropic have expanded their enterprise generative AI partnership with the launch of Claude Platform on AWS. Companies can use their existing AWS accounts, authentication and billing systems to access Anthropic's native Claude platform and APIs directly. This lowers the barriers associated with creating separate accounts and integrating systems, while complementing the managed model services offered through Amazon Bedrock.
AWS has now formally launched Claude Platform on AWS, offering a developer experience more closely aligned with Anthropic's native platform while incorporating AWS's existing enterprise management framework. Companies can access Claude services through their AWS accounts without switching to separate vendor billing. The information currently available does not specify an official launch date, pricing, minimum spending requirements or eligible regions.

At the AWS Summit in Taipei on July 15–16, 2026, AWS invited senior executives from OpenAI and Anthropic to Taiwan for the first time to discuss their agentic AI strategies and applications. Robert Wang, managing director of AWS Taiwan, also outlined four strategies for corporate investment in AI, including “find the gold before buying the shovel,” and stressed the importance of deploying agentic AI in a secure environment.
