UK’s First Online Fintech Platform for SME Debt Management and Borrowing Pitfalls Formally Launches
UK small and medium-sized enterprises face a financing gap of about £90 billion, according to Allica Bank. Businesses using loans, overdrafts and asset finance at the same time often struggle to assess their total debt exposure. That can strain cash flow, raise borrowing costs and even lead to insolvency, making greater debt transparency and better financing decisions particularly important.
Leeds-based Debeo formally launched its platform on February 18, 2026. It was founded by Alex Beardsley, who has more than 12 years of experience in commercial finance brokerage. The platform consolidates a company’s borrowing and financial data, providing real-time analysis, risk profiles and guidance on structuring applications. It is designed to help businesses identify suitable lenders, improve approval prospects and secure working capital more quickly.
