Musk Thanks Micron for Fair Memory Supply as AI Expansion Accelerates

Memory has become a critical constraint for AI data centers as operators race to assemble increasingly large GPU clusters. Tesla and Musk-controlled SpaceXAI are expanding computing infrastructure, making the price and availability of server memory important drivers of construction timelines and capital spending. Reliable allocations from Micron could help contain costs as demand from AI systems strains the semiconductor supply chain.

Musk recently thanked Micron for allocating memory chips on what he described as relatively reasonable pricing and terms, signaling potential benefits for Tesla and SpaceXAI. SpaceXAI is expanding its Colossus AI data center and plans to deploy hundreds of thousands of GPU accelerators, magnifying the value of stable memory supplies. The companies have not disclosed the volume, contract value or a firm delivery date for the allocation.
