Prominent Crypto Trader CBB Bets $30 Million Against NVIDIA and AI Supply Chain

1 reports · First detected 2026-02-28 · Last active 2026-02-28

Crypto trader CBB is an onchain market player with about 100,000 followers on X who drew attention in 2025 for rallying traders to hunt a Bitcoin short whale with a position worth hundreds of millions of dollars. CBB has now moved to Hyperliquid to short the AI hardware supply chain, highlighting concerns that more than $680 billion in AI capital spending by the “Magnificent Seven” in 2026 will struggle to generate profits.

On February 28, 2026, CBB increased a short position in an NVIDIA mapped contract to $18.6 million from $15.8 million. The position had an average entry price of $188 and an unrealized profit of $1.25 million. Including shorts in Micron, SanDisk and other companies, CBB’s total position against the AI supply chain reached $30 million. NVIDIA shares still fell more than 5% in after-hours trading after the company reported better-than-expected results on February 26.
