9fin Hires JPMorgan Veteran Huw Richards to Lead Customer Partnerships
Founded in 2016, 9fin is an AI-native intelligence platform that combines news, proprietary data and analytics for debt capital markets. More than 350 banks, asset managers, law firms and other institutions use its services, while the company says it has raised over $250 million. As financial groups deploy generative AI, providers such as 9fin are competing to supply verified market data that can be integrated directly into institutional research and decision-making systems.
9fin said on July 14, 2026, it appointed Huw Richards as Head of Customer Partnerships, based in New York. He will work with major clients to embed 9fin data in internal platforms and AI agents through technologies including APIs and MCP. Richards spent 23 years at JPMorgan and most recently led its Digital Investment Bank, which applied data and technology across investment banking. He brings more than three decades of experience in debt capital markets.
