Taiwan’s XREX Wins Compliance Honor at Inaugural AFA Awards
The inaugural AFA Awards, launched jointly by fintech associations from 16 Asian economies, aims to identify companies with the international reach and growth potential to become cross-border fintech unicorns. The regional competition places innovation, regulatory readiness and overseas expansion under a common spotlight, giving emerging companies a platform to demonstrate whether their technology and business models can scale beyond their home markets.
Three Taiwanese companies — Dr. Wang, CyCraft and XREX Group — advanced to the final 10 in the awards’ first edition. XREX, a virtual-asset services provider, ultimately received the Regulatory Compliance Excellence Award, underscoring its compliance-focused operations and cross-border capabilities as scrutiny of cryptocurrency businesses intensifies across Asia. The result gave Taiwan representation both among the finalists and the inaugural award recipients.
