Binance Introduces Spot Price Range Execution Rule to Guard Against Abnormal Market Volatility

1 reports · First detected 2026-04-07 · Last active 2026-04-07

Binance is one of the world’s major cryptocurrency exchanges, and execution quality in its spot market directly affects investors and market makers. During periods of severe volatility or thin liquidity, orders can execute far from the market reference price. The new rule limits the execution range to reduce the risk of abnormal trades and market disruption.

Binance said it will implement its Spot Price Range Execution Rule (PRER) on April 14. The system will restrict execution when a spot order’s price falls outside a range set by the exchange using a market reference price, helping prevent severe price discrepancies caused by extreme volatility or insufficient market depth. The announcement did not cite any specific investment amount or asset size.
