Gatik Raises $200 Million to Scale Driverless Freight

2 reports · First detected 2026-08-26 · Last active 2026-08-26

Gatik specializes in autonomous middle-mile freight, moving goods on high-frequency regional routes between distribution centers, warehouses and stores. Such repeatable routes offer a practical path to commercializing driverless trucking, allowing retailers, grocers and consumer-goods companies to add capacity, reduce costs and improve delivery reliability. The company operates across Texas, Arizona and Arkansas in the United States, as well as Canada, with customers including PepsiCo and Loblaw.

Gatik said on Aug. 25, 2026, it raised $200 million in a Series D round led by Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies, with participation from Millennium Management, ARK Invest and Intact Private Capital. The funding will support fleet growth, commercial operations, technology, infrastructure and hiring. Gatik has completed more than 85,000 fully driverless orders, achieved a 99% on-time delivery rate and secured over $600 million in contracted revenue. It is targeting more than 100 driverless trucks by the end of 2026.
