Wiwynn Chair Urges FinTech-Manufacturing Push for AI Agent Economy
Autonomous AI agents are moving beyond decision support toward executing purchases, payments and cross-border transactions without continuous human intervention. That shift could create a high-frequency machine economy that strains financial infrastructure built for slower, human-led commerce. Wiwynn Chairwoman Hung Li-ning said manufacturers, technology providers and financial institutions must work together as conventional cross-border settlement systems increasingly lag the speed demanded by automated transactions.
Speaking at the latest FinTechOn summit, Hung said autonomous AI agents would accelerate machine-to-machine transactions across national borders, making digital finance a strategic capability for manufacturers entering the AI economy. She called for deeper integration among the manufacturing, technology and financial sectors and a broad upgrade of cross-border settlement and digital-finance infrastructure. The available report did not disclose a project budget, implementation timetable or named institutional partners.
