Qualcomm Welcomes NVIDIA to Arm PC Ecosystem, Unveils Next-Generation AI Robotics Design
Qualcomm has long promoted Windows on Arm PCs through its Snapdragon platform, challenging the x86 architecture dominated by Intel and AMD. NVIDIA’s entry into the Arm PC market could broaden the hardware, software and developer ecosystem. Qualcomm also argues that AI computing will adopt a hybrid architecture that divides workloads between endpoint devices and the cloud.
Qualcomm recently told a press conference that it welcomed NVIDIA to the Arm PC camp, saying the new competitor would help expand the non-x86 ecosystem. Qualcomm also partnered with Advantech to unveil the Dragonwing IQ10 robotics reference design. At COMPUTEX, NEXCOM showcased an embodied AI robotics platform using Qualcomm technology, with a focus on the mass production and deployment of humanoid robots.
