Social Engineering
Social engineering is an attack technique that exploits trust, urgency and information gaps to induce users or organizations to surrender credentials, take certain actions or install malware. Recent incidents show that AI is making phishing content and impersonation more efficient. Attackers are also abusing OpenAI invitations, LINE screen sharing, social-media plugins and IT support scenarios to target the financial, legal and crypto sectors. The trend continues to breach defenses across individuals, businesses and supply chains, underscoring the need to track evolving tactics, platform accountability and the effectiveness of anti-fraud measures.
