The companies did not disclose a purchase price. Circle has been pushing beyond token issuance into payment rails, its Arc blockchain and other onchain financial products as competition among stablecoin and payment providers intensifies. The estate spans blockchain systems, banking, financial services, insurance, enterprise infrastructure, supply-chain verification and secure cloud operations, and Circle said the transaction makes it the leading U.S. holder of blockchain patents. The company plans to draw on the portfolio to support USDC, the Circle Payments Network, Arc and agentic financial tools, and both sides said they would explore further commercial opportunities.
