Interactive Brokers Adds Crypto Tokens, Stablecoin Withdrawals
Interactive Brokers, the Nasdaq-listed brokerage known for low-cost access to stocks, options, futures and bonds, has been building digital assets into its broader multi-asset platform through Zerohash and Paxos. The move matters because stablecoin transfers can settle around the clock, bypassing the business-hour constraints of bank wires and ACH. It also reflects a wider shift among traditional brokers, which increasingly view crypto and tokenized cash as financial infrastructure rather than a separate speculative product.
On July 14, 2026, Interactive Brokers said it added nine tokens through Zerohash and three through Paxos, while enabling stablecoin withdrawals for the first time. Eligible clients can have U.S. dollars automatically converted into USDC, PayPal USD (PYUSD) or Ripple USD (RLUSD) and sent to external wallets, with transfers available nearly instantly, 24/7. The new Zerohash roster includes Aave, Aptos, Canton, Lido DAO, Monad, NEAR Protocol, Plasma, Pax Gold and Uniswap. Crypto commissions range from 0.12% to 0.18% of trade value, subject to a $1.75 minimum; the feature excludes the broker’s U.K. and Irish entities.
