Cardano Analytics Platform TapTools to Shut Down After Five Senior Staff Depart

Launched in 2022, TapTools is a widely used real-time analytics platform in the Cardano ecosystem, offering token prices, DeFi activity tracking and tools for discovering new projects. Its closure will not only affect users' access to on-chain information but also highlights the operational strain facing Web3 tools that depend on specialized technical expertise and continued infrastructure spending during a bear market.

TapTools said on June 2, 2026, that two co-founders, its chief operating officer, its chief technology officer and the backend developer who subsequently took over had departed during the year, bringing the total to five senior staff. The platform expects to wind down within two weeks, around June 16. The team did not disclose how much funding it needed or a potential acquisition price, but remains open to a takeover or an injection of external resources.
