KGI Wins Approval to Launch Taiwan’s First Non-Distributing Active Equity ETF, 00407A
KGI Securities Investment Trust has launched the KGI Taiwan Active ETF Fund (00407A), Taiwan’s first actively managed domestic equity ETF designed not to pay distributions. The fund retains and reinvests income, with distributions set at zero, reducing tax friction from income tax and supplementary health insurance premiums while enhancing long-term compounding.
00407A was formally approved for fundraising on May 18. Its investment strategy combines fundamental corporate research with quantitative models under a Quantamental framework, using human-AI collaboration to actively select stocks. KGI Securities Investment Trust aims to generate long-term excess returns, adding the first accumulation product to Taiwan’s active ETF market.
