Active ETFs

Active ETFs combine the trading convenience of exchange-traded funds with active stock selection, allowing managers to adjust holdings based on research and market judgment. Taiwanese asset managers have recently launched a wave of products, many focused on AI and semiconductor supply chains, while expanding into strategies such as non-distribution funds and covered calls. Brokerages are also enhancing in-app subscription and tracking features. With some products trading at substantial premiums and regulators considering improvements to market-making mechanisms, their performance, fees, liquidity and premium-discount risks warrant continued scrutiny.
