Through products including USDY, OUSG and Ondo Global Markets, the company brought about $3.5 billion in assets onchain and became a major player in institutional adoption of blockchain-based finance.

Ondo Finance said on X on May 25, 2026, that its founder and CEO had died unexpectedly at the age of 32. The cause of death was not disclosed. President Ian De Bode promptly succeeded him as CEO. De Bode had led strategy, product and day-to-day operations for more than two years and was promoted to president in November 2025. The company said its established tokenization mission remained unchanged.
