S&P Tokenizes iBoxx U.S. Treasuries Index on Canton Network
The iBoxx U.S. Treasuries Index is a widely used benchmark for U.S. government bond performance among institutional investors and fixed-income products. The market for tokenized onchain assets has reached $27 billion, including more than $12.5 billion in U.S. Treasuries. Bringing benchmark data onchain could support digital financial products, collateral and licensing management.
On March 31, 2026, S&P Dow Jones Indices and digital-asset data provider Kaiko announced plans to tokenize the index on Canton Network, which has more than 600 participating institutions and validators. Licensed issuers will be able to use a single NFT to access daily closing index levels, intraday pricing and corporate-actions data. The token itself is not an investable product.
