Klaimee Raises $5.5 Million to Insure Autonomous AI Agents
As AI agents move beyond copilots to take actions, advise customers and handle sensitive data within corporate workflows, companies face a basic question: who pays when an autonomous system makes a mistake? Y Combinator-backed InsurTech Klaimee seeks to close that gap by auditing agent performance and pairing certification with AI-specific liability coverage. The model targets risks that conventional Technology E&O and Cyber policies, designed largely for deterministic software, data breaches and human-delivered services, may not adequately address.
Klaimee said on July 22, 2026, that it had raised $5.5 million in seed funding led by FundersClub’s Alexander Mittal. Participants included ex/ante, Pioneer Fund, Multimodal Ventures, Kima Ventures, Rebel Fund, Robinhood Ventures, Y Combinator and angel investors. The company plans to use the financing to expand its certification and insurance offering for autonomous AI agents, giving businesses a way to assess, quantify and transfer some of the liability risk tied to deploying the technology.
