HashKey Becomes First Asian Crypto Firm to Join DTCC Tokenization Group
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, a critical provider of post-trade infrastructure for global securities markets, is bringing major financial institutions together to shape standards for institutional tokenized assets. Its digital-asset advisory group includes about 100 participants, including Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan, and focuses on issuance, settlement and custody — key building blocks for connecting regulated finance with blockchain-based markets.
HashKey has formally joined the DTCC group, becoming the first Asian crypto service provider to participate and giving the region a place in discussions over emerging tokenization infrastructure. DTCC plans to launch a tokenized securities service in October, aimed at improving links between traditional financial systems and decentralized-finance networks. No investment or transaction value was disclosed in connection with HashKey’s appointment.
