Arm Unveils Physical AI Platform With More Than 80 Partners

Physical AI brings perception, inference and control into robots and automated machinery, but fragmented hardware, software and development tools have made systems costly to integrate and difficult to scale. Arm is seeking to establish a common computing foundation and capability framework that allows developers to reuse technology across platforms, shortening the path from prototypes to commercial robotic deployments.

Arm has unveiled Arm Total Design for Physical AI alongside a robotics capability framework, bringing together more than 80 hardware, software and AI partners to develop shared standards. The group includes AWS, Hugging Face and Siemens, as well as nine Taiwanese companies including TSMC. Arm said the initiative is intended to reduce engineering fragmentation and accelerate the development and large-scale deployment of robotics and automation systems.
